Phawan’s passion for cars and bikes was sparked in his childhood, long before the times of the internet. Back then, he would eagerly wait for racing events to be shown on TV. He was always curious, often asking himself, "What makes a car move?" During his studies, Phawan and his team built a formula car with a 4-cylinder carburetor engine. This hands-on project taught them a lot about how cars work. "Building a car from scratch gave us a deep understanding of the basics," he says. These practical lessons were invaluable and went beyond what books could teach.


After his undergraduate studies, Phawan went to Monza, Italy, to pursue his master's degree. Monza is famous for its high-speed racing, and there, Phawan worked on the Tatuus Formula 4 Abarth car. He learned a lot about data analysis and optimization, skills that would be crucial for his career.


Now, Phawan is the track manager at the CoASTT High-Performance Center. "I'm here to improve my management skills," said Phawan. When asked if he was satisfied with what he was doing, he thoughtfully replied, "As humans, we are never fully satisfied."


A significant highlight of Phawan's career is working under Narain Karthikeyan, the first Indian F1 driver. "Narain has been one of my idols since childhood. Now he's my boss," he says. Working under someone he has always admired is a dream come true for Phawan.


His love for motorsports keeps him energized and enthusiastic. He enjoys sharing his knowledge with others and often advises aspiring motorsport enthusiasts. "If you want to get into motorsports, have a plan and work hard. Start early, seek out opportunities, and get hands-on experience.", he also insisted on trying for internships as much as possible.


Phawan's journey shows the power of passion and hard work. It is inspirational, not only for those who love motorsports but also to others, it teaches about running behind dreams and the importance of hardwork.
