On August 8, 2024, our school embarked on a heartfelt journey to serve the community, filled with hope and determination. It was the day when our Interact club was installed opulently. A group of Rotarians, with years of experience who have devoted their large span of life to serve their community in every possible way, were the headliners of the entire ceremony.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the newly elected president was introduced, followed by the collaring of the president of the Interact club, Intr. Tharunadhithya and the badge was given to Secretary Intr. Sri Harini by chief guest Rtn Henry Amalraj. President Intr. Tharunadhithya delivered his acceptance speech, which moved all the Rotarians and impressed them.
Looking ahead: Future prospects and expectations
Then came the most significant moment, the oath-taking ceremony. It was led by Rtn. Henry Amalraj, as the newly appointed president guided the office bearers through their vows. Further into the ceremony, felicitations were gifted to all the Rotarians.
Our first step in the path of serving the community was given to the Government School at SIHS Colony Singanallur which included giving away “Teaching Aids”, on behalf of our Interact Club with the raised profit of ₹ 7360. The ceremony was adjourned by the proud new president and the vote of thanks was delivered. We all called it a day, which perhaps embarks on changing the lives of many and having one of the most meaningful quotes in our mind:
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in service of others.” – Mahatma Gandhi.
