A visit to CoASTT- India’s first Anti-Clockwise FIA approved Circuit is a world-class automotive testing and motor racing facility, which is setting new standards for motorsport excellence in India, left a lasting impression on students from grade 9 to 12.

On July 13, 2024, a field trip commenced to the CoASTT High-Performance Center. The journey started at 8:45 AM and the center was arrived at by 10:20 AM.

At CoASTT, the students were welcomed by Mr. Phawan, the track manager, and Mr. Vishal, both experts in motorsports. They explained several things about racing, the signs, flags and the different tyers used in Formula 1 races with respect to the track condition. The students learned how these flags and signs are significant in communicating information to the drivers during a race.

Additionally, Mr.Phawan and Mr.Vishal explained the engine used in go-karts, and taught us how these small but powerful engines work. Also at the same time students were also experiencing go karts. We loved it and raced safely with our friends.

The go kart experience was really thrilling and everybody enjoyed it. Inspired by Fast and Furious, the students were excited to speed around the track. They mastered the challenge of the sharp turns, skillfully maneuvered the go-karts, and after a thrilling ride, eagerly lined up for another lap. After experiencing go-karting, the students enjoyed their lunch at the center. We were chatting about the experience.

Narain Karthikeyan who is the first Indian racer to compete in Formula 1 is a trustee of this center. We waited for him until the very end, but unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to meet him.

We took a group photo, along with a track tour and waved our hands to the CoASTT crew and returned with memorable experiences.
